Our Programs

Practical learning for everyday opportunity

Our educational offerings are defined. We welcome participants, instructors, host organizations, and supporters to help organize our first community workshops.

Our Educational Programs

Independent Living Academy

Building Practical Skills. Strengthening Independence.

Independence is about having the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make decisions and participate meaningfully in everyday life.

The Independent Living Academy focuses on practical education that helps individuals strengthen essential life skills and develop greater confidence in managing everyday responsibilities.

Educational topics include organizing daily routines, managing appointments, household planning, understanding everyday purchases, decision-making, communicating personal needs, and self-advocacy.

Learning activities emphasize individual choice, practical problem-solving, and applying new knowledge to real-life situations.

Housing readiness may be addressed as an educational topic. The Academy does not provide housing, residential placement, or residential care services.

Digital Skills and Literacy

Connecting People to Knowledge, Technology, and Opportunity.

Technology plays an increasingly important role in employment, education, communication, and everyday independence.

Our Digital Skills and Literacy program focuses on building confidence with commonly used technology and helping individuals navigate today’s digital world.

Educational activities cover computers, smartphones, tablets, email communication, video calls, online applications, digital forms, privacy settings, internet safety, and evaluating online information.

The program emphasizes practical learning, accessible instruction, and the skills needed to use technology more confidently in everyday situations.

By making digital education more approachable, the foundation seeks to help reduce technology-related barriers and expand access to information and community resources.

Employment Readiness

Preparing for Opportunity. Building Confidence for the Workplace.

Meaningful employment can contribute to financial independence, personal growth, confidence, and community participation.

Our Employment Readiness program focuses on the practical knowledge and skills individuals need to prepare for employment opportunities and navigate the job-seeking process.

Educational topics include identifying personal strengths, exploring career interests, preparing résumés and applications, developing interview skills, workplace communication, professional expectations, and understanding employment-related resources.

Participants can explore strategies for communicating their abilities, identifying employment goals, and building confidence in professional settings.

The program provides educational preparation and does not guarantee employment or function as a job-placement agency.

Community Inclusion and Personal Development

Building Connections. Discovering Possibilities.

Strong communities are places where individuals have opportunities to participate, develop relationships, pursue personal interests, and contribute in meaningful ways.

Our Community Inclusion and Personal Development program focuses on personal growth, self-advocacy, communication, and the practical skills that support participation in community life.

Educational topics include setting personal goals, understanding community resources, strengthening interpersonal communication, preparing for community activities, making informed decisions, and identifying opportunities for personal development.

The program recognizes that meaningful participation looks different for every individual. Learning is centered on personal choice, individual interests, and the importance of belonging.

Through accessible education and community collaboration, the foundation seeks to help individuals pursue goals that are meaningful to them.
